The goal of this program was to provide middle and high school teachers with training in inquiry, assessment and technology strategies promoting successful classroom and laboratory experiences for students. To achieve this goal, participants were required to study a multi-tiered program including: Web-based distance education delivery of inquiry and assessment strategies consistent with Washington State EALRs; discussions of topics presented on the web, both on-line and in a workshop setting; and intensive hands-on laboratory experiences in environmental sciences, biotechnology and educational technologies at Camp Roger Larson on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
