Construction:

  1. Students select their own teams of 3-4
  2. Each student is assigned one of four tasks and materials to bring
  3. Teams have five days to complete construction of their car

Propeller Construction:
Each student designs their own propeller and mounting assembly to be tested on their group's car.

Testing:
Students test several characteristics of their cars including: rolling friction, propeller RPM, speed, acceleration, mass, and thrust.

Racing:
When testing is completed teams select their best propeller design and race against other teams. Mr. Elder and Mr. Hoglen's rooms are opened up so that both classes can participate together.
